Arran
Arran covers a pretty big 106,750 acres and its highest point (Goatfell) stands at 2,867 feet - it's a tough climb! Just off the eastern shore of Arran should be found the Holy Island, to the south is Ailsa Craig and to the south-west near Campbeltown sits Sanda Island. Arran is well populated and indeed has been for quite some time. Its population stood at 4,472 in the 1991 census.
